Fatal Crash: 36-Year-Old ID'd As Victim On Hudson Valley Roadway

A motorist from Massachusetts was killed after his vehicle overturned on a Hudson Valley roadway.

It happened just after 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct.19 in Rockland County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP) southbound, in the town of Ramapo.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Saab was traveling south in the village of Pomona when, for reasons yet to be determined, the vehicle exited the roadway,, New York State Police, said.

 The car struck multiple trees and overturned, ejecting the driver from the vehicle. 

The operator of the vehicle, Worcester County resident Angel Mangual, age 36, of Fitchburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under active investigation.
